Nochmals ein großes Dankeschön liebe Ingrid (El Dorado) für die tollen Fotos, die du von uns gemacht hast.

Es hat nebenbei auch sehr viel Spass gemacht.

Ohne meine beiden braven Töchter (Eva Maria und Heidi) und auch ohne Ingrid (El Dorado) wäre ich mit meiner Maine Coon Zucht nicht so erfolgreich geworden.

Eva Maria die im Hintergrund immer die Fotos / Homepage und alles schriftliche für mich erledigt.

Heidi die mir auch ein paar Urlaubtage im Jahr gönnt und wirklich das gesamte Haus in Schuss hält und mir auch bei der Baby/Kittenaufzucht immer zur Seite steht.

Ingrid (El Dorado) die mir damals (2006) die Chance als Zuchtanfängerin gab - immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand - und das bis heute.

(Auch eine langjährge Freundschaft die dahinter steckt!).

Hier ein paar Worte zu unserer Geschichte ...

Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für unsere Cattery interessieren. Unsere kleine Hobbyzucht liegt in Zell am Pettenfirst (Hausruckviertel / Oberösterreich / Österreich) auf einem Berg, daher der Zuchtname.
Die Pocono Mountains liegen in Pensylvania und ist ein Gebirgszug.

Wir lieben unsere Katzen, die im Familienverband von jung bis alt mit uns zusammen leben. Selbstverständlich gewähren wir eine katzengerechte und liebevolle Haltung und Pflege unserer Stubentiger.

We are a small breeding facility situated on a hill in Zell am Pettenfirst (Upper Austria).
We traveled and visited the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania and
adopted the name for our Cattery from that trip.
Our cats live in our household with young and old cats, kids and dogs. Our Breeding program is carefully monitored to achieve the best result with matching female to male.
Pocono Maine Coons breeds for these colors Silvers, Blues, Reds Classic tabbies with and without white. Also solid Black and Blue.

How do we became a Maine Coon Breeder?

2006 kaufte sich meine Tochter einen Maine Coon Kastraten. Als ich ihn das Erste Mal sah war ich voll auf begeistert von dieser

Prächtigkeit und Schönheit dieser Rasse.

Natürlich konnte ich es kaum erwarten und kaufte mir eine Maine Coon. Das Wesen dieser Rasse ist nicht zu vergleichen mit einer "Hauskatze". Nach und nach wurden es immer mehr Maine Coon in unserem Haus, bis wir eines Tages den Entschluß fassten selbst eine Zucht anzufangen.

In 2006 my daughter bought her first Maine Coon Cat (Shaman). Since this moment I was enthused, because of his beauty, elegance and his bigness.

I fell in love with the breed and had to have one of my own. The characteristics of the
Maine coon cannot be compared to a regular house cat. The personality and the size of the cat is more of a companion animal for everyone. They are adaptable to many living situations. We have big German Shepherds, American Collie's and Mini Dachshunds in our family along with the cats. We have a beautiful garden for the humans and the dogs and the cats have the freedom to go into the outside Cat Jungle (see below). They can climb and hangout in the fresh air and open space as they want, winter and summer.

Bei uns beherrschen die Katzen sowie unsere Hunde

(Deutsche Schäferhunde DJANGO & FENJA und Amerikanische Collie's PETER & ROXY) das Haus.

Unsere Maine Coon haben die "Qual der Wahl" - Sie können frei von sich aus im Aussengehege oder auch in den Katzenzimmern schlafen, spielen, fressen oder ihr "Geschäft" verrichten.

Wir legen viel Wert auf Harmonie in unserer Maine Coon Cattery -
deswegen dürfen sie sich im gesamten Haus bewegen.

Da wir den Coonies keinen Stress antun wollen, kommt unser Tierarzt zu uns nach Hause.

HCM UND PKD - FREI!

Unsere Kater stehen nicht für Fremddeckungen zur Verfügung!!!

Wir informieren Sie gerne über sämtliche Fragen und beraten Sie jederzeit ausführlich über diese traumhafte und wunderschöne Katzenrasse.

Our cats are free from Feline Leuk., FIV, FIP, parasites & rabies. We screen our breeding cats for HCM and PKD.
We do not mass produce or use cages. Kittens are handled and raised in our loving home thus producing well socialized kittens. Each and every kitten/cat we breed receives special attention and care.

Our vet does house calls and each kitten receives 2 immunizations and a written vet health certificate before they go to their new approved home. Each kitten leaves here at 12 weeks old,is litter box trained, eating solid food & uses a scratching post. We send each new owner home with a list of supplies the kitten will need for a smooth transition. 

Disclaimer: Screening for HCM is currently the recommended method to aid in reducing the incidence of this condition in our cats. Breeders can not guarantee that their cats will not develop this condition. However, Pocono can guarantee that we are dedicated to screening our breeders in a continued effort to produce healthy and sound Maine Coons to the best of our ability.

We do not breed our male cats to outside females!!!
